The roots of Vaki
The roots of VAKI go back to the year 1986. For two decades the company has been a leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of hi-tech equipment for fish farming and the environmental market. Continuous product development in collaboration with customers and other partners is one of the company's main priorities, and the production unit in Akureyri exploits the most up-to-date technology and automatic equipment for the production of high-quality products. The focus of attention at the headquarters in Kópavogur is on product development and marketing, and also close quality monitoring.
Worldwide service network
An efficient network of agents and service companies in over 20 countries provides customers all over the world with first-class service, and VAKI's affiliates in Chile participates actively in product development through collaboration with key enterprises, in addition to servicing equipment. Over 90% of the company's production is exported to more than 40 countries. The largest market areas are: Chile, Norway, Scotland, North America and the Mediterranean.
Fish and Hi-tech
VAKI is active in two main fields, in which the key words are fish and hi-tech. What the products have in common is that they give the user accurate information about the production or migration pattern and so facilitate planning and decision-making. They also raise the level of automation and contribute towards increased efficiency in both farming and processing.
