Fast and reliable

This new counter is based on a digital line scanning camera and computer vision.The outlines of objects that pass beneath the scanner are recorded and then specially-designed software is used to analyse and count each image. The fish are carried in water along a 40-cm-broad channel over the light and under the camera. Even with a capacity of over 200,000 fish per hour, the counter is extremely  accurate - over 98%.
