Lerøy Aurora, a company in Northern Norway, was the first company in Norway to get installed the new Biomass Daily system. At their site in Dåfjord they have now 8 frames measuring fish from all their pens. The data is transferred virelessly to a computer at site and with internet connection it is possible for the managers to monitor the data from any PC with internet access.
Benn-Levi Thomassen is the site manager and he is optimistic that this new system will be of big help in controlling feed and planning harvesting and sales. His challenge will be to get the small fish to swim through the frames, the crew at Dåfjord is optimistic by nature and they have decided to measure the fish from the size of 200g until they harvest.
